This is a subcontract position requiring deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Dataverse, and secure federal IT environments.You will be responsible for designing the system architecture, overseeing the migration from the legacy AMS (Academic Management System) to a modern cloud-based solution, and ensuring full alignment with USMA’s academic, military, and readiness tracking requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Department of Defense (DoD) environments and demonstrate a strong understanding of IL-2 compliance, cybersecurity protocols, and information assurance requirements under DoD 8140.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead Architecture Design:\nDefine and document the end-to-end system architecture of the Azimuth SIS/CIS platform, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse.\nLegacy System Migration:\nDevelop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy from the existing AMS platform to a secure and scalable Microsoft cloud solution.\nIntegration Management:\nDesign and implement integrations with USMA’s systems supporting academic records, military training, readiness data, and other operational components.\nCybersecurity & Compliance:\nEnsure all architectural decisions comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including IL-2 classification level, IAT Level II or III mandates, and other relevant NIST and RMF frameworks.\nStakeholder Collaboration:\nWork closely with USMA program offices, functional leaders, and technical teams to ensure the solution meets mission-critical needs.\nDocumentation & Reporting:\nCreate and maintain detailed system documentation, data flow diagrams, security design documents, and migration plans.\nDevelopment Support:\nProvide hands-on programming support as needed, including development in Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Functions, and integration tools.\nRequired Certifications\nCandidates must hold all of the following active certifications:\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert\nIncludes AZ-305 (Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions)\nPrerequisite: AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator)\nMicrosoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert\nExam: PL-600\nDoD 8140 Baseline Certification – IAT Level II or III\nExamples: CompTIA Security+ CE, CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent\nRequired Skills & Experience\n7+ years of experience in IT architecture and software engineering, with a focus on enterprise systems\nDemonstrated expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and integrations with Azure services\nStrong understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements and secure system design (e.g., STIGs, RMF, IL-2)\nExperience working with academic or readiness tracking systems within a military or federal context is highly preferred\nStrong communication and documentation skills; ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nU.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements\nJob Types: Full-time, Part-time\nPay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour\nApplication Question(s):\nDo you have experience working with any Federal Agency?
