Our highly competitive compensation package which includes medical benefits, 401(k), ample paid time off and a schedule that supports true work/life balance, allows you to begin your career and grow.\nJoin our team and start a meaningful career where your work supports better health outcomes for Mississippians every day.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAnalyze healthcare costs, risk, pricing, forecasting and other projects to help improve quality and total cost of care by:\nGathering, cleaning and analyzing data from viable data sources to identify trends;\nUpdating actuarial models for forecasting and monitoring the models for effectiveness; and\nPreparing financial, enrollment and ad hoc reports to support corporate decision making and communicate results.\nJob-Specific Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another related field.\nProficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.\nAbility to provide clear messaging to explain complex information as well as ask clarifying questions to ensure you deeply understand the communication.\nWritten communication skills to ensure that communications and reports are accurate, objective, clear, constructive and complete.\nPreferred include:\nMinimum GPA of 3.25.\nOne SOA Exam passed.\nWorking knowledge of databases, SAS and/or SQL to build queries that join correlated data for analysis or reporting.\nWhat to Expect:\nA work environment with a focus on your health which allows you to thrive.
