{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"00a6a1920006f667472b27cb","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/00a6a1920006f667472b27cb","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/00a6a1920006f667472b27cb","title":"Chemical Processor","description":"M-F 6a-2:30p\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerforms chemical processing operations (e.g., cleaning, etching, anodizing, passivation, conversion coating, plating preparation, and rinsing) in accordance with approved process specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements.\nPrepares, monitors, and maintains chemical baths and solutions by measuring concentrations, temperatures, pH levels, and immersion times to ensure process control and part quality.\nLoads, unloads, and handles parts safely using proper fixturing, racks, and handling methods to prevent damage or contamination.\nInspects processed parts visually and, when required, uses measurement or test methods to verify conformance to specifications.\nAccurately completes production, inspection, and process documentation, including logs, travelers, batch records, and nonconformance reports.\nFollows all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and hazard communication requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nProperly labels, stores, handles, and disposes of chemicals and waste materials in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nIdentifies and reports process deviations, equipment malfunctions, chemical out-of-spec conditions, or safety concerns to supervision or quality personnel immediately.\nPerforms routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of tanks, equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and effective operations.\nMaintains a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.\nSupports audits, inspections, and customer requirements by adhering to documented procedures and maintaining accurate records.\nCollaborates with quality, engineering, and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.\nOvertime may be required as business needs dictate.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\n3-4 years of relevant experience\nHigh school degree or equivalent required\nPrior experience in chemical processing, metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment\nBasic understanding of chemical handling, safety practices, and hazard communication standards (e.g., SDS, PPE requirements).\nAbility to read and follow written work instructions, process specifications, and safety procedures.\n\nAbility to accurately complete production and quality documentation.\nBasic math skills, including the ability to measure, record, and calculate concentrations, ratios, and process parameters as required.\nAbility to use basic measuring and inspection tools.\nFamiliarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting preferred.\nAbility to safely handle chemicals and operate processing equipment after appropriate training.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.\nCommitment to keep work area clean and free of debris\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to stand for extended periods during the work shift\nAbility to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, & manipulate parts, tools, & equipment\nAbility to frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as required to load, unload, and process parts\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and components, typically up to 40 pounds\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks involving manual dexterity and fine motor skills\nAbility to visually inspect parts for surface defects, coating quality, and process conformity, with or without corrective lenses\nAbility to work in environments with exposure to chemicals, fumes, vapors, varying temperatures, humidity, and noise, while using required personal protective equipment (PPE)\nAbility to wear required PPE, including but not limited to gloves, aprons, face shields, respirators, and protective footwear\nAbility to work safely around chemical processing tanks, equipment, and moving machinery\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None.\n\nTravel Required: N/A\n\nNote: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) of this position.
