This role focuses on identifying recovery opportunities, pursuing subrogation actions, and contributing to favorable claim results. As a developmental position, it provides valuable experience and growth opportunities for advancement into senior-level claims positions. Success in this role is measured by the delivery of exceptional claim services, adherence to CCMSI’s claim handling standards, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.\nResponsibilities\nIdentify and assess potential subrogation opportunities on Workers’ Compensation and Multi-Line claims.\nInvestigate, evaluate, and manage subrogation claims in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and established claim handling standards.\nAnalyze liability exposures and proactively pursue recovery efforts against responsible third parties.\nCollaborate with claims adjusters to coordinate and support additional investigative activities as needed.\nIssue lien notifications to all applicable parties and provide regular updates regarding claim payments and lien balances.\nEvaluate, negotiate, and resolve subrogation claims in accordance with Corporate Claim Standards, client-specific requirements, and applicable state regulations.\nMaximize recovery opportunities through strategic negotiation and jurisdictionally appropriate subrogation actions.\nResearch claim payments, respond to inquiries, and coordinate activities with internal departments, insurance carriers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.\nMonitor statutes of limitation and evaluate claims for referral to subrogation counsel when civil litigation is warranted.\nPartner with and support subrogation counsel throughout the recovery process.\nAssist in the selection, assignment, and oversight of external vendors, including legal counsel, surveillance providers, and case management resources.\nMaintain accurate and timely claim documentation, diaries, and activity records within the claim management system.\nAdhere to client-specific claim handling guidelines and service expectations.\nEnsure clear, professional, and timely communication with clients, claimants, and all relevant parties throughout the life of the claim.\nProvide guidance and training to adjusters on identifying and developing potential subrogation recovery opportunities.\nParticipate in claim reviews and strategy discussions as requested.\nAttend and actively participate in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other legal proceedings as appropriate.\nMaintain compliance with Corporate Claim Handling Standards, regulatory requirements, and special client handling instructions.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nProven negotiation and settlement skills.\nStrong business communication skills, both written and verbal.\nKnowledge of liability determination and recovery principles.\nUnderstanding of Arizona (AZ) jurisdiction and applicable workers’ compensation/subrogation laws.\nStrong analytical and investigative abilities.\nExcellent organizational and time-management skills.\nNice to Have:\n\nBilingual (Spanish) proficiency — highly valued for communicating with claimants, employers, or vendors, but not required\nArizona (AZ) Adjusters' license is strongly preferred.\n\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here\n\n4 weeks (Paid time off that accrues throughout the year in accordance with company policy) + 10 paid holidays in your first year\nComprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance\nRetirement plans: 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)\nCareer growth: Internal training and advancement opportunities\nCulture: A supportive, team-based work environment\n\nHow We Measure Success\nAt CCMSI, great adjusters stand out through ownership, accuracy, and impact.
