The person occupying this position is responsible for checking loads in and out along with verifying products on bills of lading and shipping documents.Material Handler Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Move, load, and unload food products, materials, and/or packages by hand, pallet jack, or forklift from trains, railcars, and trailersHandle paperwork and use scanners to ship and receive clients’ food product accuratelyPick orders, select products, and control inventory as necessaryTransfer data manually and electronically to co-workers and Inventory Control TeamMonitor warehouse inventory through cycle countsAssist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse through various assigned sanitation dutiesMaterial Handler Skills/Abilities:Attention to detail and strong mathematical abilitiesMaterial Handler Education and Experience:Required: One year of warehouse experienceRequired: Forklift experienceMaterial Handler Physical and/or Travel Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting on a forklift in cold and extreme cold conditionsMust be able to lift 50-75 pounds at a timeMaterial Handler Benefits:Paid time off and HolidaysSimplified Employee Pension PlanHealth InsuranceGroup Life InsuranceTuition ReimbursementGallup Leadership Development trainingErlen Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
