If you're passionate about fiber optics and have a knack for precision, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:Fiber Optic Splicing: Efficiently splice and terminate fiber optic cables to ensure optimal performance and minimal signal loss.Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot fiber optic issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize service disruptions.Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks to guarantee that splicing work meets industry standards and our company's high-quality expectations.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of splice locations, cable routes, and other relevant data for future reference.Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on splicing equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.Collaboration: Collaborate with the network engineering and operations teams to coordinate and execute fiber optic projects efficiently.Requirements:Experience: Proven experience in fiber optic splicing, with a minimum of [X years] of hands-on experience.Certifications: Relevant certifications such as FOA (Fiber Optic Association) or equivalent are a plus.Technical Skills: Proficiency in using splicing equipment, fusion splicing, and OTDR testing.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in splice work.Safety: Committed to following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.Travel: Be willing to travel regionally inside of Western Colorado.
