Linux System Engineer

This role combines systems engineering, cloud operations, and Linux administration to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise services supporting a diverse customer base.The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration experience, a solid understanding of AWS cloud services, and the ability to support both operational and engineering activities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with development, operations, and enterprise service teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support cloud-based solutions to meet evolving customer and mission requirementsServe as a Linux subject matter expert (SME) supporting multiple development, test, and production environmentsMonitor system health, operational metrics, and application performance to ensure high availability and reliabilityIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues while driving root cause analysis and long-term corrective actionsCollaborate with development teams to establish feedback loops and improve system stability and performanceSupport software deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities across enterprise environmentsDevelop automation scripts, troubleshooting playbooks, and operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortWork with enterprise service providers to ensure compliance with security requirements, policies, and standardsParticipate in change management activities, engineering reviews, and operational readiness assessmentsCreate and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data flows, procedures, and operational guidesSupport capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization initiativesCollaborate within Agile development teams using modern project management and collaboration toolsRequired QualificationsMust posses an active Top Secret/SCI Security ClearanceMust possess an active CI polygraphBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline4-6 years of experience as a Linux Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar technical roleStrong experience administering and supporting Linux-based systems and infrastructureExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as EC2, S3, and related cloud infrastructureExperience supporting enterprise applications and operational environmentsFamiliarity with systems engineering documentation, including architecture diagrams, network diagrams, and data flow documentationExperience using Agile collaboration and development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and BitbucketStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional technical teamsDesired QualificationsExperience supporting Oracle Identity and Access Management products, including Oracle Access Manager (OAM) and Oracle Unified Directory (OUD)Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environmentsExperience with Elastic Stack technologies, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, and LogstashExperience working with cloud-native architectures and multi-cloud environmentsUnderstanding of AWS cost optimization and cloud resource managementFamiliarity with cross-domain solutions and architecturesExperience implementing automated testing, monitoring, and operational health checksExperience participating in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Change Management processesKnowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and enterprise security frameworks#CJFantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Software Development, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
