{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"007b7ea07375a0cb92ec6c8d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/007b7ea07375a0cb92ec6c8d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/007b7ea07375a0cb92ec6c8d","title":"Software Engineer","description":"Role:Software Engineer\r\nLocation:Fairfax, VA or Denver, CO\r\nClearance:TS/SCI\r\nSalary:$125,000 - $200,000 plus 50% Employer Funded PackageWe are searching for a Software Engineer to join a highly regarded technology organisation delivering mission-critical solutions across the US Intelligence and National Security community.This position will focus on developing and maintaining advanced software solutions supporting communications, signal processing and intelligence systems.The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience within Linux environments, with an interest in working on complex technical projects supporting national security operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nDesign, develop, test and maintain software applications supporting mission-critical intelligence and communications systems.\r\nDevelop and implement software solutions primarily using Python within Linux environments.\r\nBuild and maintain secure web-based interfaces for monitoring and controlling signal processing systems.\r\nSupport software integration, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.\r\nManage software configurations, application deployments and system baselines.\r\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS\r\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within defence, intelligence or similarly complex technical environments.\r\nStrong programming experience with Python.\r\nHands-on experience developing and supporting software within Linux environments.\r\nExperience across software design, implementation, testing and debugging.\r\nUnderstanding of networking protocols, encryption and secure software development practices.\r\nExperience with web application development and associated technologies would be beneficial.BENEFICIAL\r\nAdditional programming experience with Java, C or C++.\r\nPrevious involvement in SIGINT, communications systems or digital signal processing projects.\r\nExperience with Django, Flask, JavaScript, XML or MySQL.\r\nKnowledge of signal processing algorithms, modulation/demodulation or X-Midas.EDUCATION & CLEARANCEBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is requiredActive TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.If you're a Software Engineer with strong Python and Linux experience and an active TS/SCI clearance, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
