Assistant Equipment TechnicianSun City Hilton Head, Bluffton, SC.Salary: $19.00 to $25.00/ per hourKey Responsibilities• Maintain and make repairs of all golf course maintenance equipment.• Knowledge of Gas and Diesel engines repair.• Knowledge of two cycle motor repair.• Participate in a preventative maintenance program on all equipment. Changing fluids and servicing equipment.• Knowledge or understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems with the ability to diagnose and repair issues.• Ability to learn to grind reels and bed knives.• Ability to learn how to check cutting heights and quality of cut regularly and make height adjustments on mowers.• Maintain and update equipment repair logs.• Must be an initiative-taker with a positive attitude that works well within a team environment.• Maintain and update equipment repair logs.• Ability to communicate effectively with Superintendent, Lead Equipment Tech, and staff.Qualifications:• Prior experience as a mechanic or golf course mechanic experience preferred.• Must have own tools.• Organized and proficient in record keeping.• Computer skills• Valid driver's license and own transportation• High School Diploma or equivalent• Able to lift 50lbs• Able to work in a squatting or kneeling position.Benefits• Health, vision, dental and life insurance, 401k• Vacation time• Uniforms provided• Continuing education and association paid dues.Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
