This position reports to the East Coast Director of Operations or Lead AV Technician and is a member of the Operations team supporting the mission and goals of a \"Best in Class\" sales and AV integration program. As an operational member of a dynamic installation operation, the AV Technician will work with minimal supervision to receive, inventory, assemble and install AV equipment on job site locations to comply with the company’s policies and procedures, including quality, safety, environmental, and business practices.\n\nThis is a travel position with travel that may be required to job sites across the country unless work on confirmed, contracted projects in the Statesboro, Augusta, and Atlanta metropolitan areas are available. Residency within 50 miles of Statesboro is required.\n\nEssential job functions, duties and responsibilities:\nThis position is responsible for performing the process of receiving, inventorying, assembling, installing, commissioning and testing AV and other simple network equipment on job site locations with minimal supervision and oversight. This position requires a variety of duties including construction labor as well as electrical and electronic installation and repair but not limited to:\nMoving and/or repositioning large equipment or wiring supplies. Individuals must be able to lift and carry heavy objects of 75 lbs. unassisted and to steady objects above shoulder height while fastened into place by co-workers.\nTrouble-shooting audio and video cabling\nInstalling and terminating cables with the appropriate solder or compression connector\nDrilling in drywall, concrete, and cinderblock for the purpose of running wires, installing projectors, projection screens, cameras, and speaker systems\nInstalling electronic and electrical components into equipment racks and other locations per wiring diagrams or verbal instructions\nSanding, painting and other light construction jobs\nCleaning up job sites and breaking down boxes\nOrganizing and storing materials\nWorking in confined spaces\nWorking on ladders and lifts at heights in excess of 10ft\nProviding some direction mentoring of other installers and technicians\nPerforming other duties as assigned\nKnowledge, skills and abilities required:\nPrior AV experience\nCTS certification or the ability to achieve certification within six months of start date\nAbility to travel on regular/constant basis and often on short notice with long/unusual work hours\nSuccessfully complete criminal background check, motor vehicle review and drug test prior to start\nStrong communication skills and experience working on teams\nComputer proficiency and familiarity with standard office productivity software including Google, Microsoft Word and Excel\nExperience and comfort with hand tools, small power tools and industrial tools\nAbility to learn new tasks quickly\nAbility to make important decisions under tight timelines and in a fast-paced environment\nProblem-solving and time management skills\nFriendly and approachable\nValid driver’s license with less than two citations in last two years and reliable transportation\nAbility to lift 75 pounds and complete ladder and other safety training\nWorking Conditions:\nWork can be in normal comfortable air-conditioned environments, but will also include less comfortable cold or hot construction environments and on occasion, tasks require work outdoors or in a suspension rig\n\nSuccess Factors:\nThe personal characteristics that make an individual successful in this industry include:\nAbility to understand and follow written and verbal direction\nShows initiative and is proactive, dependable and productive to complete tasks effectively and efficiently\nA professional attitude focusing on the success of Inter Technologies Corporation with a high degree of attention to detail\nAn understanding that every installation is the most important and a strong installation program is key to that success\nWorks well with others, including taking direction and offering/receiving constructive feedback\nA professional and respectful attitude in dealing with others and adjusting to varied job assignments and tasks\nAn aptitude toward time and resource management\nA desire to progress in job knowledge and qualifications and take on new responsibilities\nA desire to help others accomplish tasks and achieve goals\nReporting to job locations on time and in appropriate work attire/PPE\nJob offer consists of a competitive salary and benefits package that includes:\nPaid vacation and sick pay\nMedical coverage options: health, vision and dental\nGenerous daily per diem while traveling overnight to cover meals and non-reimbursable incidentals\nIn-house travel team to make all work-related travel arrangements including air flights, ground transportation and lodging all paid through company accounts\n401k program after one year of service and with annual employer contribution after one year of enrollment\nTool kit, uniform shirt, PPE and a stipend per paycheck as a personal cell phone allowance\n\nJob Type: Full-time\n\nPay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour or commensurate with experience\n\nJob Location: This is a travel position with extensive travel to job sites across the country unless work on confirmed, contracted projects in the Statesboro and Atlanta metropolitan areas are available.
