The Safety/Security Supervisor will work closely with management to address any security issues, maintain a secure environment, and assist with audits and investigations.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\nTeam Supervision:\n\nLead and supervise a team of security officers, ensuring proper staffing, training, and performance management.\n\nSchedule and assign shifts for security personnel to ensure 24/7 coverage of the facility.\n\nConduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and guidance to team members.\n\nSecurity Operations:\n\nEnsure the implementation and adherence to security protocols, procedures, and regulations in the Jushi facilities.\n\nMonitor surveillance systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) to detect and prevent unauthorized activity.\n\nConduct regular physical security checks of all areas, including the grow rooms, processing areas, storage, and external perimeter.\n\nEnsure the safety and security of customers and employees, at the retail dispensary locations.\n\nMonitor and maintenance security equipment at all Jushi locations\n\nCompliance and Recordkeeping:\n\nEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal cannabis security regulations.\n\nMaintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and other documentation related to security incidents.\n\nParticipate in regular audits and inspections to ensure facility security measures are up to code.\n\nEmergency Response:\n\nAct as the primary point of contact for emergency security situations and coordinate response efforts as needed.\n\nTrain security personnel in emergency procedures, including evacuation, lockdown, and response to breaches or intrusions.\n\nTraining & Development:\n\nConduct training sessions for security staff on security protocols, cannabis regulations, and the use of security equipment.\n\nEnsure that all security staff remain up to date with state and local cannabis security requirements.\n\nCollaboration & Reporting:\n\nWork closely with the Director of Operations and other facility management to identify and address security vulnerabilities.\n\nProvide regular reports on security issues, incidents, and operational improvements.\n\nAssist in investigations related to theft, fraud, or other violations of security protocols.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferred.\n\nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.\n\nPrior experience in the cannabis industry or in a highly regulated industry (such as pharmaceuticals, alcohol, etc.) is a plus.\n\nKnowledge of cannabis security regulations and best practices is highly desirable.\n\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to remain calm and make decisions under pressure in emergency situations.\n\nMust pass background checks and meet local and state regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\n\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\n\nAbility to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.\n\nAbility to remain alert and focused for long shifts, including overnight hours if needed.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS\n\nThis position may require rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\n\nThe work environment may involve exposure to the growing and processing areas of the cannabis facility, including potential exposure to plants and equipment.\n\nOccasional travel to other facilities or off-site locations may be required for training or other operational needs.\n\n$54,000 - $60,000 a year\n\nWHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER OUR EMPLOYEES AT JUSHI\nWe offer benefit packages that may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short, and Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k).\n\nBONUS DUTIES YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, and responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
