Floor Tech

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The Floor Technician is responsible for routine and deep cleaning of facility floors in accordance with infection control standards and safety guidelines. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine and scheduled floor care including: Stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing floors Shampooing and extracting carpets Maintain cleanliness of hallways, resident rooms, common areas, and offices as assigned Operate floor care equipment safely and properly Follow infection control, OSHA, and facility safety guidelines Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies Assist housekeeping staff as needed Maintain professionalism and respect when interacting with residents and staff Qualifications Previous floor care or environmental services experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus) Knowledge of floor care equipment and chemicals preferred Ability to work independently and follow schedules Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Must pass background screening and pre-employment requirements Work Environment Skilled Nursing Facility Fast-paced, resident-centered environment Requires standing, walking, bending, and physical activity throughout shift
