Visit peraton.com to learn how we're keeping people around the world safe and secure.\r\nAbout The Role\r\nWe are looking to add a Junior Software Engineer/Developer to our team of talented professionals!\r\nIn this role, you will:\r\nBe responsible for developing, testing and maintaining a complex distributed processing application utilizing python and Java.\r\nYou will work closely with Product Owner/Data Coaches/Analysts/DBA.\r\nWork closely with Scrum/Kanban teams to ensure alignment with program standards, backend-frontend requirements, and Agile delivery expectations.\r\nQualifications\r\nMandatory Qualification\r\nMinimum 3 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 years of relevant experience with a High School diploma in lieu of a degree.\r\n\r\nNote: The bullet symbol was decorative in the original; content retained without the symbol.\r\n\r\nAbility to work independently.\r\nStrong Python development with JAVA experience or Strong JAVA Development with python experience.\r\nExperience with distributed workloads via Spark/Hadoop\r\nMust have SQL skills; Snowflake experience a plus.\r\nAWS experience.\r\nShell scripting experience.\r\nTeam player\r\nExcellent executive function and communication skills.\r\nUS Citizen or Green Card holder and must have been in the USA for 3 of the last 5 years.\r\nStrongly Preferred Qualifications\r\nSAFe experience; certification preferred.\r\nCLI Linux experience.\r\nVisual Studio (VS code) or other IDE experience.\r\nJob scheduling / process automation experience.\r\nRules-based model experience.\r\nExperience working with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) information systems.\r\nCMS/Medicare or Medicaid claims experience.\r\nRules engine experience (ODM/DRools etc)\r\nDetails\r\nTarget Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
