We partner with schools and communities to support student growth and ensure equitable access to strong literacy instruction.Position OverviewHope Literacy is seeking a motivated and flexible Program Assistant to support the implementation and growth of our literacy programs. This role will begin as a part-time position in Summer 2026, with the potential to grow into a full-time role for the 2026–2027 school year.The Program Assistant will play a key role in supporting instructional programming, supervising staff, analyzing data, and maintaining strong communication between program staff and school partners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in education who is eager to deepen their knowledge of reading instruction and program management.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Support & CoordinationAssist with the planning, coordination, and execution of literacy programmingTravel to schools and community spaces to support daily programmingAdapt quickly to changing program needs and schedulesMaintain organization of program materials, schedules, and logisticsStaff Supervision & CoachingSupervise program staff and ensure alignment with program expectations at allProvide ongoing feedback, guidance, and coaching to staffObserve staff performance and report updates, concerns, and successes to the supervisorSupport a positive and professional team environmentData & ReportingCollect, organize, and analyze student and program dataUse data to help inform program decisions and improvements Communicate program progress and staff updates to supervisors and school administratorsCommunication & CollaborationServe as a liaison between program staff, supervisors, and school partnersMaintain professional communication with school administrators and stakeholdersCollaborate effectively both independently and as part of a teamSupport a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and familiesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related fieldExperience in education (classroom teaching, tutoring, or youth programming preferred)Interest in and openness to learning the Science of ReadingExperience or comfort with data analysis and using data to guide decisionsStrong organizational skills and ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic environmentWillingness to work in a team environment to support all programsAbility to supervise, coach, and support staff effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyFlexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindsetOpen-minded and able to work with diverse populations of students and staffWillingness to take direction and implement feedbackReliable Transportation for school visits and supervision requirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience with literacy instruction or reading interventionPrevious supervisory or team leadership experienceFamiliarity with school-based programs or partnershipsTeacher Licensure in English or other related fieldBilingual in English and SpanishCompensationPart-time summer compensation will be prorated between $30-$40/Hour.Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience (for full-time role), includes benefits
