Part Time Closers champion and support the culture and values of Stop & Shop and have a impact on delivering our promise of a streamlined, personalized shopping experience for our customers.

They’re responsible for maintaining deli cases, slicing up meats and cheeses and preparing other products. We work as one team to break down barriers, put the customer first and show that we care for our customers, communities and each other.

Our deli clerks are weighed by their ability to serve customers. They share their expertise with customers by offering them great meal options and helping them find exactly what they’re looking for. You may be asked to assist in other ways too, depending on the needs of your store.

They also stock and maintain display cases and help our meat cutters weigh, prepare, label and package products. Our meat clerks select the best cuts for customers and help them find what they need. We comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

Our front-end clerks are the bread and butter of our store – pun intended. Not only do they help bag groceries but they sweep & mop the floors, collect carts, dispose of trash and keep our restrooms and workstations clean.
