Qualifications Qualifications include: Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course tees, fairways and greens; seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf; planting, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants, shrubs and trees; characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners; herbicides and pest control methods and materials; drainage control methods; irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls.

Perform general golf course maintenance, fill divots, and repair damaged turf. Minimum of one (1) year of relevant golf course, landscape, etc., experience in Golf Course Maintenance I.

The superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operation and management of a golf course. A working knowledge of the construction, establishment, and maintenance practices employed on golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.

The Grounds Maintenance Supervisor leads, coordinates and participates in the work of crews responsible for maintaining turf and irrigation systems at all Municipal Golf Course facilities.

Familiarity with golf course maintenance equipment and machinery preferred. Coordinate with other members of the golf course maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective use of equipment and resources.
