Under general direction of the City Attorney, the Assistant City Attorney-Criminal assists in the administration and supervision of the City Attorney's Office; provides expert legal advice to the Mayor, City Council, Department Directors, City Boards and Commissions, and City employees on a wide range of municipal law issues.

Represents the City in prosecuting building, health, and zoning ordinance violations. Confers with and advises Police Officers and other City officials as to legal interpretation of City ordinances.
