The Inpatient RN will partner with the hospital to provide quality care to the patient and deliver care that provides a positive patient experience. The Inpatient RN provides direct patient care in accordance to company policies and procedures which includes FMCNA compliance programs and contracted hospitals’ policies and procedures.

About this role: As a Dialysis Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) with Fresenius Medical Care, you will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team responsible for delivering unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients facing end stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

Successful completion of 3 months experience as an RN in home peritoneal dialysis and / or home hemodialysis. Must have a minimum of 12 months experience as an RN plus. Supports and promotes the Fresenius Kidney Care mission, vision, values, and customer service philosophy.

The Apheresis RN will partner with the hospital or outpatient facility to provide quality care to the patient and deliver care that provides a positive patient experience. The Apheresis RN spends 80% or more of their time providing Apheresis treatments providing direct patient care in accordance to company policies and procedures which includes FMCNA compliance programs and contracted hospitals’ policies and procedures.

Makes referrals to Social Worker and Registered Dietitian as appropriate. As a member of the nephrology health care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.

Entry level for RNs with less than 1 year of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last two years as a RN. Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN.

Minimum 6 months nephrology experience required before working independently without a qualified dialysis RN. Areas of practice are diverse, including, but not limited to, the fields of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapies, and apheresis.

Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as an RN. All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care and applicable contractual service policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state and federal regulations.

Directs and provides in collaboration with the patient home care partner direct and ancillary patient care staff all aspects of the provision of safe and effective delivery of dialysis therapy to assigned patients.

Assesses and manages patients’ response to home dialysis training and treatment therapy by following prescribed predetermined protocols and communicates patient related issues to the physician as needed.
