The Manager in Training (MIT) position is expected to be a short-term transitional role that provides both work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MITs to be promoted into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions.

Note: Selection for the MIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager position. Overall store retail/commercial management, supervision, and policy implementation.

As a member of management, an MIT will be expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will maintain an engaged, productive store team through strong leadership, demonstrating initiative and leading by example.

1 -2 years of previous experience as a retail manager or supervisor. Whether and when an MIT is actually promoted to management is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to performance and availability of management openings.

Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including morning, night and weekend shifts, and to work overtime as needed. An MIT is a member of the management team. MITs must maintain satisfactory performance and must demonstrate consistent progression through the training program in order to remain in the pipeline role and be considered for management openings.

Previous experience analyzing company financials including Profit and Loss Statement preferred, but not required. Financial management – manage, analyze and reconcile monthly P&L statements. Employee staffing, training, and development.

AutoZone's Territory Sales Manager (TSM) maintains strong relationships with current and existing Commercial customers while obtaining new business with shop owners in the designated territory.

The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving the commercial sales within their AutoZone location. Contribute to the AutoZone 'one-team' environment by assisting customers and AutoZoners with various aspects of the business.

Act as the primary contact for commercial customers; Actively maintain open lines of communication between AutoZone and commercial customers. The CSM exceeds customer's expectation by delivering WOW.

Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully maintaining and developing commercial sales. The CSM develops and maintains positive relationships with commercial customers by managing the acquisition and delivery of products, providing ongoing customer service, and maintaining expert knowledge on parts and inventory.
