The chainsaw crew member position is an entry-level role on a beginner chainsaw crew.

Good knowledge and ability to effectively operate power tools, hand tools and various instruments to craft wood projects such as table saw, jig saw, chop saw, router, circular saw, and band saw.

Must be capable of setting up and operating a wide range of fabrication and welding equipment to include but not limited to: band saw, cut off saw, slitting saw, rollers, shears, brake press, press, pipe, laser, plasma weld and various power tools.

Hands on experience with shop tools such as chop saw, band saw, grinders, wrenches, etc. Perform and manage engineering work using CAD/CAE software to solve problems in mechanical/structural design, finite element analysis, design optimization, prototype generation (such as stereo lithography on NC machining), fatigue analysis, structural dynamics and kinematics, vibrations, thermal analysis, production of manufacturing drawings, and plastic part design.

Includes but not limited to: circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, power floor cleaner, carpet cleaner, paint sprayer, power drain cleaner, chain saw, and key machine.

Perform various maintenance functions such as electrical installations, pool maintenance, carpentry/construction, furnace and air conditioner repairs, filter changing, coil cleaning, plumbing and appliance repairs, drywall and painting repairs, vinyl installation and repairs, minor roof repairs, etc.

Ability to use and maintain power tools including drill, screw guns, sawsall, circular saw, radial arm saw, table saw, planer, sanders, roto hammer drill, bandsaw, tamp, jack hammer, scrapers, air compressors, nail gun, stapler, jigsaw, and router.

Knowledge, operation, and set-up of tape measure, square, hand saw, hand plane, table saw, and chop saw, planer, joiner, band saw, shaper, surface sander, router, vacuum pumps, and inverted router.

Prior design experience using steel fabrication processes and equipment, i.e. saw, plasma, laser, punch, and forming. Other programs such as Catia, Pro-E, Solid Works or Solid Edge will be considered.
