The Vet Tech position in our hospital is a true nursing position and NOT a kennel position. Have the skills and ability to manage patients from pre-op to post-op, perform dental procedures, perform radiographs, run labs, draw blood, place IV catheters, manage in-patient care, manage out-patient care, do technician exams, run exam rooms, be able to work as a team in busy work environment; follow written and verbal directions, able to multi-task and use a computer, and be able to perform tasks based on doctor's notes, fill medications and be able to discuss them with clients.
