The position will encompass the breadth of clinical care, including inpatient consultation, outpatient clinic and outpatient dialysis rounding and telemedicine. The SVAMC cares for Veterans within the Upstate New York region from the Catskill region in the south, to the New York/Canada border in the North, and between Syracuse and Western Massachusetts from East/West. Clinical opportunities at the SVAMC include: acute and chronic hemodialysis (currently not including CRRT), peritoneal dialysis, kidney biopsy (if trained), and placement of temporary hemodialysis catheters.
