The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutritional therapy to patients at Cheshire Medical Center as well as out-patient counseling at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic. This position reviews and formulates modified diets prescribed by medical staff for patients with therapeutic diet needs, interviews patients and evaluates information concerning: diet histories, nutritional assessment, identification of nutritional problems, and recommend improved or alternate dietary regimes, and instructs patients and/or their relatives regarding diet therapy to be applied during hospitalization and in the home setting.
