Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively implementing the mission of the Department of Art & Art History within Drexel’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design.

B.A. degree in Art History and B.A. and B.F.A. degrees in Studio Art, as well as a minor in Museum and Gallery Methods. Designed specifically for the pursuit of art practices and the study of art history, the Department of Art & Art History is housed in a spacious and well-equipped facility at the northwestern edge of the SSU campus.

MA or MFA in art, studio art, art education or art history OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in art, studio art, or art history.

In this role, you will be tasked with crafting and structuring lesson plans tailored to the study of Asian art, maintaining a dynamic and interactive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, and offering constructive feedback to students to facilitate their academic growth.

The Department of Art and Art History, established in 1911, offers BA, BFA, MA, and MFA degrees and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD.

Demonstrated expertise in the history of performing arts education, including familiarity with key figures, movements, and pedagogical approaches. A Ph. D. is preferred in Performing Arts, Theatre Studies, Education or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) Bachelor's degree in Art History, Art Education, Studio Art, Museum Studies or a related field.

At the The Brooksville City Hall Art Gallery there is a huge quilt called the “Hernando Heritage Quilt” where each section of the 22 block quilt portrays a part of the history of the USA.

MA in Art History, Museum Studies or related field preferred. With a collecting history that extends back to 1755, the Princeton University Art Museum is one of the leading university art museums in the country, home to collections that have grown to include more than 115,000 works of art ranging from ancient to contemporary art and spanning the globe.

Requires Bachelors or master’s in art history, arts education, museum studies, or other related areas with working knowledge of modern and contemporary art, Latinx art; one or more years professional experience in arts education including curriculum and program design; excellent organizational and computer skills; ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

Bachelor's degree in studio art, art history, art education, preK-12 education or learning sciences. Master's degree in art history, art education, or fine art preferred.

Advancement into this position often follows successful years of service within a museum or art gallery, as well as through proven work in art, art history, exhibit design or related fields.

This individual will be charged with implementing the museum’s mission to preserve and interpret the history and culture of Alachua County and its environs through community outreach, presentations and workshops, collection stewardship, and exhibition of archival materials, works of art, and artifacts.

MFA in Art, MA in Art History, Arts Management, or Arts Administration strongly preferred, or a BA in art or related subject, plus extensive art world sales experience.
