- Under general supervision, the Wastewater Collections Technician performs generally skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of sanitary sewers and appurtenances for the Public Utilities Department.
- Removes, cleans, and disposes dirt, concrete, blacktop, and other materials; digs and opens ditches for laying pipe by use of a trenching machine, backhoe, or manually; assists in laying pipe and appurtenances.
- Operates, drives, and monitors the maintenance of flatbeds, boom trucks, dump trucks, air hammer, chop saw, chain saw, weed eater, concrete mixer, and other equipment.
- This position is required to operate the below equipment, machines, tools, and other work aides: Backhoe, hydraulic pipe cleaning truck (vac con), light dump truck, double diaphragm pump, walk behind cut saw, hand held cut saw, plate compactor, jumping jack, 90 lb.
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Diploma, or G.E.D. Certificate AND one (1) year experience as a semi-skilled laborer in the maintenance or construction field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
