We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales Development to drive business growth for our AAE (SDR/BDR) teams globally. This role requires strong sales leadership skills and experience managing large sales teams. Our AAEs are AEs in training - generating qualified leads for our Account Executive team while completing a rigorous development program to be promoted to AE level in ~6 months. We are open to hiring in any of our US office locations: San Mateo, CA (HQ) Tampa, FL Salt Lake City, UT Austin, Texas Tempe, AZ Seattle, WA New York, NY Responsibilities <ul><li>Provide second-line sales leadership, leveraging experience in leading sales leaders to drive revenue growth and coach new talent</li><li>Oversee a substantial sales organization, including 6 AAE Managers and 100+ AAEs (Associate Account Executives, equivalent to Sales Development Representatives (SDRs)/Business Development Representatives (BDRs) at other companies)</li><li>Mentor and coach AAE Managers to achieve sales targets and support AAEs in maximizing their sales potential to grow into AEs in ~ 6 months</li><li>Work closely with University Recruiting team to find and hire new talent for our Verkadamy sales training program</li><li>Track KPIs, report on team progress, and use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and achieve sales targets. </li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>Sales Leadership Experience: Minimum 4+ years of leading BDR/SDR sales leaders, preferably in the technology industry. </li><li>Experience managing large teams ( 100+ individuals) of AAEs (SDRs/BDRs) and AAE Managers</li><li>Experience with coaching and mentoring SDRs to grow into Account Executives</li><li>Ability to identify new market opportunities and forge partnerships</li><li>Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Travel Required: Willingness to travel to Verkada's US and International offices </li></ul>US Employee Benefits Verkada is committed to investing in the holistic health and wellbeing of all employees and their families. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
