- The Neurology Anesthesia Technician or Assistant works closely with the neurology department, anesthesiologists, radiology staff and other departments throughout the hospital.
- The primary responsibility of the Neurology Anesthesia Technician or Assistant is to provide advanced anesthetic monitoring care to the patients of Angell Animal Medical Center primarily in the MRI unit and surgical suites when necessary under the direction of a neurologist.
- Provide and ensure quality patient care for all neurology anesthetic patients which need diagnostic imaging and/or surgery.
- Demonstrate and model strong technical skills including but not limited to mechanical ventilation, patients prone to increased intracranial pressure, geriatric anesthetic case experience, cardiac anesthetic case management, advanced venipuncture, IV catheter placement, central line placement, advanced fluid and component therapy, CPR procedures, chest tube and tracheostomy maintenance, breath hold techniques, etc.
- We are looking for applicants with at least 3 years of veterinary technician/assistant experience.
