- The Manufacturing & Systems Engineering (M&SE) Department in the College of Applied Science and Technology at Weber State University is accepting applications for a full-time tenure track or instructor teaching position in the Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MFET) program starting Fall 2023, with a teaching load of 24 credit hours over two semesters.
- The MFET Program has three concentration areas, Production Operations & Controls, Welding and Plastics & Composites.
- The program teaches a combination of theory and applied engineering in automation & robotic applications, CNC, machining, sheet metal forming, casting, plastics, composites, quality, lean manufacturing, & fluid power.
- Post-secondary teaching experience is also preferred.
- Possible courses to be taught in the program include senior project planning and cost estimating, manufacturing supervision, advanced composites, metal forming, casting & welding, applied fluid power, process automation & robotics, CNC, CAM & rapid prototyping, metal processing & joining for engineers, machining principles, quality/statistics & manufacturing processes and materials.
