- The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is the sixth largest transportation system in the United States, with a vast network of fixed route services including bus, subway/elevated, trackless trolley, light rail, and commuter rail serving a 2,200 square mile service region.
- As an experienced operator, drives, operates and maintains equipment such as Gradall, Cranes, Hydraulic Excavators, Front end loaders, Backhoes, Material handlers, Automotive Trucks, including Tractor Trailers, Dump Trucks, and special function trucks with hi-rail attachments such as log loaders, roto dumps, and boom trucks.
- Must be proficient in the operation of tampers, rail grinders, tie inserter/extractor and other related track maintenance equipment as required.
- Operates tie inserter/extractor machine for the purpose of removing and installing ties and switch timber in track.
- Install all necessary attachments, such as, hydraulic accessories and hoist cables as required.
