- Ph. D. (assistant professor) or M.S. (instructor position) or equivalent experience such as advanced Ph. D. candidate status in Physics, Astronomy, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited university
- Applications are invited for a full-time, term position as an Instructor or Assistant Professor in the University of Minnesota Duluth Physics and Astronomy Department.
- The successful candidate will be expected to fully contribute to the teaching and service responsibilities in the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
- Depending on interest and qualifications, those selected could teach a mix of introductory and upper-level courses, and possibly astronomy or astrophysics courses.
- The campus is located in northeastern Minnesota at the tip of Lake Superior, is the home of the Large Lakes Observatory, and is approximately 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul and also 150 miles south of the NOvA experiment Ash River Laboratory.
