- Clinical service: The food animal medicine and surgery (FAMS) service provides routine and emergency care for cattle, sheep, goats, New and Old World camelids, swine (including potbelly pigs), and exotic hoof stock in the hospital.
- Clinical assignments including a low amount of after-hours emergency duty will be based on clinical needs and is shared by the faculty team (including large animal emergency and critical care clinicians).
- The robust surgical caseload reflects production animals, show animals, and pets of multiple large animal species.
- There is an enthusiastic group of large animal surgeons to provide support, input, and assistance on cases.
- Available diagnostic equipment includes 1m and 3m endoscopes, dynamic endoscopy, ultrasound, and advanced imaging including CT/MRI capabilities.
