  • As the Task Force continues to grow, identifying and acquiring the right talent to fit its long term global public health, management, and administrative needs are essential.
  • The Talent Acquisition Partner along with the HR team, will work with Task Force sectors/departments to understand their long-term needs, provide targeted solutions to align with each sector and department, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to the evolving Task Force organizational structure and strategies.
  • JOB DESCRIPTION: Functions as a human resources professional with expertise in multiple human resources specialties.
  • Analyzes relevant data and provides input into the design and administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs in an effort to meet the needs of assigned business unit(s).
  • Advises customers, staff and leadership on human resources issues.
  • Interprets and counsels leadership and employees on policies and procedures to ensure their fair and consistent application.
  • Ensures forms and documents are completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Leads and implements the Task Force’s global talent acquisition strategies to ensure it continues to source and attract a qualified and diverse global workforce capable of meeting the evolving needs of a dynamic global public health organization.
  • The Talent Acquisition Partner will work collaboratively and creatively with hiring managers and the HR team in this effort
  • Works closely with Emory University’s Central Recruitment office and Task Force Sr. HR Business Partners to identify and source applicants, and develop efficient processes for staff acquisition
  • Supports internship activities and the GSK Fellowship program by working closely with the HR team to identify deserving students as well as identify a potential pipeline of applicants for the organization
  • Participates in the creation of a Task Force Internship program
  • Participates in the visa application process for new and existing staff by working closely with Sr. HR Business Partners and Emory’s ISSP office
  • Develops and implements strategies for job fairs at public health institutions and other related events
  • In collaboration with members of the HR team, develops a robust staff orientation system that promotes staff development and retention
  • Leads efforts in continuous process improvement for the Task Force talent acquisition process
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (or equivalent related experience).
  • Five years of human resources administration experience which includes three years in a human resources specialty.
  • Proficient with various personal computer software applications including a word processing, database management, and/or spreadsheet package.
  • Develops and administers salary offers and provides guidance to managers
  • Conducts market analyses for Task Force positions and advises managers accordingly
  • Participates in the job description development and evaluation process
  • Assumes special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager of People Operations that allow the Task Force to achieve its mission and objectives
  • Represents the Task Force at Emory, national, and international meetings and conferences related to Human Resources Management
  • Participates fully as a member of the Task Force by contributing, assisting and participating in projects, activities, and initiatives as requested by management
  • 10% - 15% domestic and international travel
  • A master's degree in business administration, finance, human resources or a related science field and five years of professional business administration or management experience.
  • At least 5 years experience in human resources management with an international non governmental organization at a mid level.
  • Three years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Human Resources, including work in one of the the following roles – Talent Acquisition Lead/Partner, Recruiter, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner in a complex international environment where best practice HR programs and products have been developed and implemented.
  • Certification as a Senior Human Resources Professional.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to talent acquisition within an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop global recruitment strategies and facilitate successful implementation.
  • Ability to manage and successfully lead others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding and experience working with NGOs, UN agencies or developmental agencies such as USAID, DFID, and CIDA.
  • Experience working on the staffing aspects of proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to think conceptually, strategically, organizationally, and analytically and develop pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
  • Administers compensation requests and provides guidance to managers.
  • Proficiency with Peoplesoft
  • NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.
