The employee is expected to perform field surveying duties and coordinate the tasks of field crew members. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: <UL><LI>Conduct all phases of survey field work including reconnaissance, stake-out, topography, boundary, hydrology, utilization of robotic and Leica total stations with onboard Data Collection, and Leica GPS/GNSS units.</li><li>Accurate field calculations and sketching/notes.</li><li>As-builts of sanitary and storm structures.</li><li>Downloading and compilation of field data and review of raw data.</li><li>Quality control of all survey field documents.</li><li>Communication with field crew members, coworkers, contractors, and clients, as necessary.</li><li>Ensure safety quality of survey operations.</li><li>General maintenance of survey equipment and vehicles.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</LI></UL> Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: <UL><LI>Strong communication, mathematics, and computer skills.</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Leica equipment and software products.</li><li>Knowledge of principles of survey measurement, staking, and marking.</li><li>Able to read and understand survey map data and construction plans.</li><li>Able to follow detailed written and/or oral instructions provided by the survey coordinator.</li><li>Attention to accuracy, record keeping, and project schedules.</li><li>Self-motivated, organized, and able to work well independently and collaboratively. </li><li>Knowledge of laser scanning equipment a plus but not required.</LI></UL> Requirements for this position include: <UL><LI>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Minimum of five (5) years recent survey field experience.</li><li>Prior Party Chief experience a plus.</li><li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record.</LI></UL> Why Work With Us?
