- Provide a full range of psychological assessment and consultation services, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients, with emphasis on SUD. Psychological assessment may involve interviewing or testing patients of both.
- The psychologist assists ATP leadership in the execution of ongoing program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects to monitor the effectiveness of the clinical program.
- The psychologist may also serve as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Missouri and provide trainings and didactics on SUD and/or dual diagnosis to psychiatry residents.
- May also perform independent research, based on his/her interest and ability, and takes responsibility for the ethical preparation and implementation of his or her research program to be approved by an institutional review board (IRB) and review process.
- Currently, APA accredits doctoral programs in the specialty areas of clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or combinations of two or more of those areas.
