Description Terraphase Engineering is seeking a full-time Staff Geotechnical Technician to join our team in our Woodinville, WA office. The Role <ul><li>Observe earthwork phase of construction. Coordinate with contractors and perform in-situ density tests. </li><li>Complete laboratory soil tests. </li><li>Assist in the preparation of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs). </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices in the field, aligning with HASP and relevant regulations. </li><li>Position involves lifting and loading equipment from/to a vehicle. </li><li>Individual will use an assortment of hand tools (e.g., shovels, shop vacs, hand augers). </li><li>Must be able to manipulate a 55-gallon drum. </li><li>Will perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary. </li></ul>Who You Are <ul><li>Associate's degree or relevant certification in geotechnical sciences, environmental technology, or a related field. </li><li>0-2 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental fieldwork. </li><li>Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and data entry software. </li><li>Hold a valid driver's license. </li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. </li><li>Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks in various field conditions. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols. </li><li>Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e. 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training, Confined Spaces). </li><li>Ability to lift an average of 70 lbs. </li><li>Individual must be familiar with and able to use basic hand tools. </li><li>Must be flexible to changes in schedule and be available for “on call” status. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Certificate </li><li>OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training </li><li>CPR and First Aid Training. </li></ul>Who We Are We are a geotechnical and environmental consulting company that offers cost-effective solutions to complex environmental and engineering challenges.
