  • We are looking for a skilled and creative clinician to provide quality care to undergraduates at a small liberal arts college.
  • This is a 10-month position, aligned with the August - May school schedule, with vacation as well as health insurance and retirement benefits.
  • We are a small two-year campus that is part of Emory University, where our students transition to complete their undergraduate studies after their sophomore year.
  • JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides culturally competent intake assessments, triage appointments, crisis intervention, case management, individual therapy, group therapy, outreach services, consultation, community referrals, and participation in a multidisciplinary approach to the clinical care of Oxford College students at the Counseling and Career Services (CCS) center.
  • Serves as a professional resource providing outreach and consultation to the Oxford community.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • To be seriously considered for this position, candidates must show demonstrated experience and skill in delivering services to a diverse student body.
  • Clinical responsibilities of the position include conducting intake assessments; providing short-term counseling services; occasional crisis intervention and risk/triage assessments.
  • This position also involves occasional consultation to parents, faculty, staff, or fellow students regarding struggling students.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in an applied mental health field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of prior counseling experience, preferably within a counseling center, or experience providing mental health services to a young adult, diverse population.
  • Current licensure in the state of Georgia in your discipline (i.e., as a LCSW, LPC or LP), or within six months of licensure may be considered.
  • Demonstrated engagement in serving a diverse community with a solid foundation in identity development and expertise in providing mental health services to under-served and or marginalized client populations.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:A master's degree or higher in an applied mental health field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) from an accredited institution,Current licensure in the state of Georgia in your discipline (i.e., as a LCSW, LPC or Licensed Psychologist).
  • Exceptional candidates within 6 months of full licensure will be considered.
  • Two years of prior counseling experience, within a college counseling center or experience providing mental health services to a young adult population.
  • Counseling expertise and experience in addressing any of the following would especially strengthen a candidate’s application: trauma, substance abuse, challenges facing neuro-diverse students, and micro and macro aggressions against marginalized and/or under-served communities.
  • NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.
