- Under the direction of a supervisor, conduct factual and legal research and provide written analyses to address issues pertaining to the Sections rule making, coordination, or technical assistance responsibilities.
- Under the direction of a supervisor, performs legal research; synopsizes transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use; reviews case related materials and identifies potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation; writes preliminary drafts of legal memoranda and correspondence.
- Candidate must be able to perform detailed searches of court records and other public records utilizing online databases and services such as LexisNexis.
- Paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABaccredited law school, having completed at least one year of study or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures and legal resources.
