**Southwestern Energy**  is hiring a  **Senior Operations Geologist**  for our  **Spring, Texas**  office.

As a  **Senior Operations Geologis** t for  **Southwestern Energy,**  you will be based in SWN's Operations Support Center.  You will be part of a multi-discipline team and will work with Geologists, Geophysicists, Engineers, and Well-Site staff to plan and execute the safe and efficient development of SWN's various acreage positions.  You must be able to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.  This position is located at our headquarters in Spring Texas.

**To be successful in this role you will:**

+ Abide by, promote, and support all Company HSE programs

+ Work within a dynamic team environment including geologists, geophysicists, engineers and wellsite personnel

+ Planning and execution of horizontal wellbores in an integrated team environment

+ Utilize geosteering techniques and software to optimize horizontal wellbore placement in a fast paced, real time setting

+ Simultaneous geosteering of multiple wells

+ Basic interpretation of seismic data and attributes

+ Interpretation of drilling rig data, geologic well logs and mud log

**Your Background Includes:**

+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology

+ At least 5 years of experience geosteering in unconventional reservoirs. Preferably Haynesville/Bossier, Marcellus/Utica experience.

+ Strong Software skills with specific experience using StarSteer & IHS Kingdom.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
