Job Description
Teledyne Photometrics designs and manufactures high-performance Scientific CMOS, CCD and EMCCD cameras that support demanding, quantitative bio-research.
<h3>Position Summary</h3>
The Scientific Sales Engineer (SSE), working under the direction of the VP of Business Development, will be responsible for the management of Teledyne Photometrics sales in the US region. The SSE will manage the territory to provide scientific imaging solutions to customers. The SSE will work with scientists, post docs and dealers to sell Teledyne Photometrics cameras to Life Science customers. The SSE will have a background in engineering, physical or life sciences and a demonstrated ability to articulate the value of Teledyne products based on customer requirements. The ideal candidate should be excited about multi-faceted, cutting-edge research and have past exposure to the research end users in industry and academia.
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>

Manage sales within assigned territory
</li>
<li>
Execute strategic sales plan and profitable growth for the territory
</li>
<li>
Manage opportunities pipeline and quote log to meet and exceed assigned quota
</li>
<li>
Attend trade shows and technical conferences
</li>
<li>
Effectively demonstrate products to potential customers.
</li>
<li>
Use company CRM database to better manage the territory
</li>
<li>
Forecast and prepare sales reports as required by management team
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>
Self-motivated, strong work ethic with ability to work remotely from a home office
</li>
<li>
Must have excellent interpersonal communication, written and oral presentation skills
</li>
<li>
Assertive, outgoing personality with ability to close orders
</li>
<li>
Ability to travel at least 30% of the time within territory
</li>
<li>
Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
</li>
<li>
Experience with scientific cameras is a plus.
</li>
</ul>
Citizenship Requirements
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
