- The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at University of New Mexico Health Sciences is accepting applications for an academic faculty forensic psychologist, suitable for appointment at the rank of Research Assistant Professor.
- This position will work extensively with criminal justice agencies and the New Mexico Human Services Division, delivering forensic behavioral health assessments and be responsible for a range of duties related to legal proceedings, including analysis of legal issues and how they stand within the legal jurisdiction in question, and using a research-based approach to answer legal questions or problems.
- Regarding education, the selected individuals will provide clinical supervision and didactic seminars in the area of Forensic Psychology to Psychology Interns, Post doctoral trainees, psychiatric residents and other trainees.
- Scholarly activities as a forensic psychologist will include developing and maintaining an active publication agenda in the field of Forensic Psychology with the potential to obtain external funding and contracts specifically related to forensic psychology.
