As a Nurse you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Day to Day duties: <ul><li> Circulate and/or Scrub on all cases. GEN, Ortho, Spine, Urology, ENT. Robotics assisted (DaVinci SI/ MAKO) Ortho cases (total Knee/ Hip replacement). </li><li> Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams. </li><li> Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. </li><li> Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next days cases. </li><li> Acting as an advocate for patient before, during and after surgery. </li></ul> 8 OR Suites Approx. 180-200+ cases per month Schedule: PRN- Variable shifts per surgical Volume and current unit needs. PRN Policy requires candidates be available for a min of 5 shifts in a six week schedule block Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Education Requirements <ul><li> Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement </li><li> Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred </li><li> Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs </li></ul> Experience Requirements <ul><li> One year experience required </li><li> Previous OR experience across Mult services required </li><li> Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty </li></ul> Licenses/Certification Requirements <ul><li> RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact </li></ul> Physical Requirements <ul><li> Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) </li></ul> Your Connected Community: When people and places align, incredible things happen. Robotic-assisted total knee and hip replacements are an exciting addition to our orthopedic service line. We have eight ORs, three endoscopy suites and a perioperative unit consisting of 23 pre/post beds. We average 45 surgical cases per week, and 15 endoscopy cases per day. We strive to maintain safe, high-quality care throughout the entire surgical and perioperative experience. Perioperative and operative nursing is an exciting venue of nursing that focuses on the safe preparation, procedure, and recovery of patients. This requires broad knowledge base, critical thinking skills and flexible skillsets.
