  • The Regional Director of Business Development will oversee all sales, marketing and business development activities in an assigned region of locations, which may include hospitals, assisted living facilities, physicians, etc.
  • The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for the leadership, management, recruitment, training and development of sales and customer relationship management staff, in support of CHI Health at Home creating high quality clinical outcomes with a high level of patient satisfaction.

  • Participates in the design and implementation of sales and marketing plans for all products/service offerings, consistent with market analysis, reflecting referral source goals.
  • Responsible for census development through the implementation of external and internal sales, marketing, customer relations programs with both existing and new accounts.
  • Ensures that staff maintain up-to date key account records, including background, contact history, objectives, referral trends, etc.
  • Reviews records to ensure staff are properly managing resources, including their time.
  • Develops and provides sales related training as needed.
  • Contacts key physicians and other health care representatives on a regular basis.
  • Performs calls/visits with Client Relations Executives, Care Transition Nurses and Client Relations Coordinators on a routine basis to provide assistance, support, guidance.
  • Recruits and retains the best possible associates.
  • Ensures adequate staffing is maintained.
  • Provides and oversees orientation for personnel.
  • Leads, manages and develops the sales and customer relations staff to accomplish referral and financial goals and provide high quality clinical outcomes with a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time to home care/hospice locations within assigned territyory.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree; Business or RNterritory.
  • Seven years of experience managing health care sales or customer relations staff, or as a Care Transition Nurse in home health care.
  • Strong sales knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Proven track record of selling to physicians, managed care staff, and other health care professionals
  • Advanced knowledge of the healthcare industry, Medicare, managed care, insurance reimbursement and accounting practices.
  • Articulate and capable of communicating effectively with groups and individuals, utilizing good presentation skills, and to interact with all levels of staff and management using superior interpersonal and influencing skills, and communicates with optimism about the future.
  • Highly motivated, energetic individual who excels in managing transitional stages and organizational development in a growth industry.
  • Knows how to get things accomplished through both formal and informal channels.
  • Is bottom-line oriented and steadfastly nudges self and others for results.
  • Promotes innovative approaches to designing, measuring, and improving systems.
  • Must be located in Des Moines, IA or Omaha, NE.
