EZARC, Inc. is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The Quality Control Inspector must be capable of performing visual inspections, 100% welding inspections, shop production fit-up inspections, tolerances per spec and customer requirements, basic knowledge of AWS D1.1, and/or structural steel fabrication inspection. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Check the quality of fabricated members to assure that all products meet contract specifications, related codes, and EZARC quality standards.</li><li>Ensure received materials, parts, and consumables meet all quality standards.</li><li>Read blueprints, data, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and/or measuring instruments required.</li><li>Measure the dimensions of products to meet standards by using instruments such as measuring tape, calipers, gauges, etc.</li><li>Record and maintain Quality Control (QC) logs and reports as needed.</li><li>Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance/rejection status.</li><li>Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.</li><li>Hold production or stop a process due to quality concerns when necessary.</li><li>Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications.</li><li>Record inspection data such as weight, temperature, grade, and quantities inspected.</li><li>Write inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs.</li><li>Ensuring welders are conforming to the required Welding Procedure.</li><li>Participate in providing welder and fitting training when needed.</li><li>Collaborate with production and management teams.</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li>Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with structural steel fabrication.</li><li>Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li><li>Ability to use a tape measure, voltmeter, and welding gauges.</li><li>Be able to pass an internal eye exam for near-distance acuity and color perception with or without correction in at least one eye.</li><li>Quality inspection experience, including the following, is preferred:<ul><li>Welding inspection.</li><li>Fit-up inspection.</li><li>Tolerance inspection.</li></ul></li></ul> WHY EZARC?
