  • Eaton s Power Delivery Division is currently seeking an Engineering Program Manager to join and support our Regulators Product Line Engineering Programs.
  • This position is based at our Waukesha, WI location.
  • The Engineering Program Manager directs the successful execution and deliverables for NPI, VAVE, Sourcing projects and programs.
  • Supporting and improving the Program Management function for Voltage Regulators will be the main function for the Program Manager role.
  • Examines the needs of the project/program/business to ensure successful execution of NPI projects, the identification and scoping of projects are consistent with the business unit product and technology roadmaps.
  • Manages cross functional Integrated Program Team(s) to deliver on product development projects with elements of planning, risk analysis, costing, product design, reliability testing, prototyping, and design for manufacturability.

  • + Manages the Lifecycle Financials of NPI, VAVE and sourcing projects & programs.
  • Responsibility, authority and accountability for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
  • + Directs integrated product team leadership across the project(s).
  • Seeks team input to promote rapid resolution to issues.
  • Provides feedback on performance indicators.
  • + Establishes objectives and goals.
  • Provides direction to the project team in areas of program requirements, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
  • + Conducts effective program communications.
  • Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements.
  • Manage customer expectations and commitments internal to the business.
  • + Maintains standard program management processes and methodologies are utilized while coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports.
  • + Develops metrics for project schedule, budget, quality, technical performance and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases.
  • + Coordinates all risks and requirements of the project.
  • This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all project activities and deliverables and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
  • + Provides periodic project updates (Program Status Report Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule).
  • Provides updates to the business units as well as divisional levels when needed.

  • + Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
  • + Minimum of three years of experience in engineering, project leadership, or product development management
  • + Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • + No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha WI will be considered.
  • Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • + Six Sigma Green/Black belt certification
  • + Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) or equivalent
  • + Familiar with the Power Industry products and standards
  • + Familiar with ISO design controls and product development practices
  • + Familiar with PROLaunch methodology
  • + Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customers
  • + 5 or more years of experience in project leadership or Engineering and/or Product Development Management
  • + Self-motivating and acts in an ethical and truthful manner
  • + Good analytical skills and business acumen
  • + Developing to fully demonstrating in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools
  • + Excellent team leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT)
  • + Ability to travel up to 10%
  • + Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel at all management, professional, and technical levels.
