  • Under general direction of the Program Director, the Life Skills Development Supervisor for Production is responsible for supervising a group of Direct Service Providers who provides direct care and instruction to adult program participants and provides and oversees the warehouse production logistics in order to develop, enhance and maintain functional and daily living skills.
  • Provides leadership and direction for the direct care staff and ensures the overall health and safety for all individuals in program to ensure self-advocacy, daily living, social and leisure skills.
  • Oversees production contracts in Alliance, Innovations, and Warehouse areas, assisting with customer fulfillment requirements, dissemination, set-up and quality control of all production.
  • Identify achievable goals and objectives for assigned program participants; as well as, working with the individuals to meet these goals and objectives
  • Assists in the completion of time studies according to DOL regulations and inputs time study data into contract spreadsheet(s).
  • Completes documentation of production and shipping/receiving reports and invoices.
  • Review Production client timecard and back up documentation for accuracy prior to submitting to accounting, meeting accounting deadline for submission of timecards.
  • Complete Production Invoicing utilizing designated format to submit to accounting on regular basis.
  • Establish and manage vocational work opportunities for clients within the surrounding community.
  • (Supervision and direction are provided by the Director of Adult Community Programs)
  • Monitors performance of all assigned direct care staff and provides feedback to staff as needed.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and actively participate in program planning.
  • Take rotating on-call responsibility to manage scheduling issues, call offs and staffing needs (expected to be on-call every 5th week).
  • As assigned, assume responsibility for the daily operations of the Adult Day Program in the absence of the Director.
  • May be requested to drive a daily designated transportation route.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • PARC Lifelong Learning Supervisors are also required to attend orientation and ongoing training that requires attendance.
  • Implement and document training activities that may occur in-house or in the community.
  • Create structured plans and schedule for daily activities; assist Direct Care staff and Instructional Support staff in implementation.
  • Follow established protocol for special dietary requirement, medications and personal care.
  • Manage client caseload, participate in Support Plan meetings and interface with support coordinators.
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining comprehensive case management including the accurate and timely submission of reports such as: daily activity, progress, incident, attendance and statistical reports as required.
  • Meet with program participant, his/her family members and significant others including representatives of community service boards and agencies, as needed to discuss the program participant's satisfaction, progress, choices, preferences, health and safety needs, etc.
  • Ensure that the vocational and non-vocational needs of the clients are being met.
  • Coordinate with a wide range of resources, both internal and external, to provide meaningful services and activities for assigned program participants.
  • Provide daily assistance to clients in areas such as physical care, behavioral support, toileting, meal preparation, feeding, medication administration, mobility and other daily activities.
  • Provide crisis management and intervention as needed.
  • Attend meetings and trainings outside of the program as necessary.
  • The ability to physically keep up with running program participants and or to lift or assist with lifting a program participant is essential.
  • Clearly communicate the mission of the program to the outside community.
  • Act as a positive role-model and clearly communicate with other team member as well as, motivate and recognize staff accomplishment.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Waiver laws and ensures compliance with all such regulations.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution and behavior management techniques.
  • Knowledge of the legal rights of program participants.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of unpredictable situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as handbooks, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, assists with general upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws to ensure safety and compliance in all areas of production to include
  • material handling and shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to adhere to DOL regulation compliance.
  • Ability to possess basic computer skills, including the ability to learn PARCs standardized software, applications and hardware and other technologies.
  • operate general office equipment, cell phones, basic computer operation/literacy.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong time management skills
  • High school diploma required
  • One year of experience working with persons who have developmental disabilities.
  • 3 years experience with PARC or with a similar provider.
  • 1 2 years of experience leading direct care staff in a supervisory role.
  • 2 -3 years of production, warehouse or manufacturing company setting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain PCM certification; as well as, all required State and Federal certification trainings for compliance purposes.
  • Bachelors degree preferred from an accredited college or university and 3 years prior experience working with intellectual disabilities preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in case management / vocational services.
  • A special skill in production, cooking, gardening, music, exercise health and wellness, or fine arts is preferred
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Be at least 21 years of age, valid Florida driver's license and good driving record.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to generate reports as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, walk, bend, squat, turn in the knees, back, wrists and shoulders, grasp with both hands, work on feet for extended periods of time and see and hear with or without correction.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Validation for medication administration preferred
