  • We are seeking a strong software Product Owner to work with our global team environment.
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define product vision, strategy, road-map and growth opportunities
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work
  • focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Continually research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Take lead of development teams as the Product Owner
  • Owns the consistency of the product vision and provides direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project
  • Uncovering and providing recommendations and strategy to solve customer pain points (what to do and how to make it happen)
  • Elicit and lead definition of high level requirements in user stories
  • Write the acceptance criteria - structured and testable requirements
  • Synthesize requirements into user stories
  • Traceability of the strategic vision throughout design, development and release
  • Validation of the product against the requirements from design to release
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
  • Ability to clear blockers for the development team
  • Manage and prioritize value-based product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Create and maintain a product backlog according to business value and ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionality
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Work with project management to ensure the product deliverables are aligned with the project deliverables, schedule and budget
  • Analyze and synthesize monthly analytics data for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise, fact based input and recommendations to drive our customers success
  • Continuously uncover, understand, analyze and translate business problems into real solutions with meaningful value propositions that meet the needs of the business and the end user
  • Be the voice of the business
  • within the delivery team, providing clarity and balance between the business and end user objectives
  • Lead user testing and incorporate feedback into the product
  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 2 - 3 year(s) on technical projects
  • BA in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
  • 1- 2 years UX experience or background or as an Architect or Software Developer
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile and waterfall process and principles
  • Experience with Jira
  • Required Skills and Certifications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Creative problem solver
  • Ability to lead clients in product vision workshops & prioritization
  • Has a tool box of design thinking activities
  • Analytical mindset; Ability to focus on details as well as the big picture
  • Ability to fact find, probe customers, analyze, synthesize and communicate complex ideas in simple language
  • Experience with requirement definition and management (B2B and B2C)
  • Passion for technology
  • Exposure to agile software development methodology
  • Background in design thinking
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects) & Jira
  • Certification as a Product Owner
  • Have worked with offshore development teams
  • Location: DC/MD/VA preferred, but will consider remote candidates in Eastern Time Zone
