- The Launch and Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Scientific Analyst - Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) System Performance Analyst) with experience in conducting cloud-based system tests and comparing measured performance parameters against system requirements.
- The Principal / Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Scientific Analyst - Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) System Performance Analyst) job responsibilities will include developing test and analysis tools, organizing and presenting findings to team leadership and government customers, and supporting root cause analysis.
- This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Scientific Analyst - Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) System Performance Analyst) level.
- Principal Software Engineer - (Scientific Analyst - Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) System Performance Analyst) : Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Scientific Analyst - Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) System Performance Analyst) : Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
