  • This job is part of the Programs, Research & Innovation in Sexual Minority Health (PRISM Health) team in the Departments of Epidemiology and Behavioral Science and Health Education at the Rollins School of Public Health.
  • Responsibilities will include analyses, preparations of figures and tables, participating on writing teams, and leading one or more writing teams.
  • A MD/DVM/PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics or other relevant quantitative field.
  • Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
  • Experience with analysis of data from probability samples or with mathematical modeling of infectious diseases.
  • Demonstrated experience in infectious disease modeling and epidemiology
  • Expertise in data management/analysis, R(preferred), SAS, or other statistical software
  • Experience with transmission modeling, mathematical epidemiology, statistics for infectious diseases, and multi-scale disease modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to lead manuscript production, especially in the areas of infectious disease surveillance, modeling, or public health outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a good working relationship with others on the team and collaborators
  • The scientist will be under the mentorship of Drs. Patrick Sullivan and Aaron Siegler will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders in the field.
  • The position will be based at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • The initial appointment is for one year and renewal is anticipated if performance is satisfactory and funds are available
