Intern
- Under general supervision of the Supervising Plumber, the Plumber works independently or as a team member to perform the full range of skilled plumbing work including the installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, remodel and repair of mechanical plumbing equipment and fixtures for water, gas, oil, steam, sewage, fire sprinkler/prevention, and refrigeration-related plumbing systems, to ensure a clean, safe and attractive learning environment.
- The Plumbing Shop is one of seven skilled trades shops within Maintenance & Operations and is comprised of a supervising plumber, one lead plumber, three facilities maintenance mechanics, and eight journey-level plumbers.
- Perform the full range, at a journey level, of skilled plumbing work including installation, maintenance, inspection, modification, remodel and repair of mechanical plumbing equipment and fixtures for water, gas, oil, steam, sewage, fire sprinkler/prevention, and refrigeration-related plumbing systems, including automated plumbing systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and test plumbing systems, including backflow prevention devices.
