- General Purpose of Job:This position reports to the Patient Access Service Director, through the assigned immediate Patient Access Supervisor.
- This position is responsible for the support functions necessary to accomplishing the objective of the Welcome Center and Patient Access Service department.
- These include, but are not limited to functions under the categories of: excellent customer service which include; warmly greeting patient family and friends at the Welcome Center; managing assigned account, patient access or referral WQ’s; patient scheduling & check-in, registration, verification of insurance benefits, documentation of actions taken to process patient access task; correctly direct guest to the department or area they wish to visit.
- This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; employees will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or hospital administration as required.
- Use the Hospital Patient Census directory via EPIC Systems to look up and provide patients room and bed information for patient visitors.
